We need your support to Adopt a park
On 21 February 2024 almost 40 residents of Emmarentia and surrounding suburbs attended ERA’s meeting to hear about our proposals to adopt the open space below the Emmarentia dam. We were thrilled by your enthusiasm, ideas and questions.

COJ-AAP-APPLICATION.final-draft.13-feb-2024Now we want to take the next step in the long process by submitting a formal application to adopt the space. To do this, we need to show the City that we have the support of many residents from Emmarentia and surrounding suburbs.
Please show your support by filling in this survey. We want to submit our proposal request to the City by 14 March 2024 so please fill it in as soon as you can and help us by circulating to as many residents in our surrounding areas, in order to get their support as well.

If you want to read the entire document click here (Note that some of the proposals in this document require a lot of capital and work to implement e.g. spruit rehabilitation of the Westdene and Emmarentia Spruits. These ideas will be shared with the City but are not envisaged to be carried out by residents because of the high cost implications.)
I support this innitiative
I think this is an amazing initiative. As a resident of Linden for more than 10 years and a regular user of Emmarentia Dam I rethink the more green spaces we have the better.
TO MAINTAN THE PARK DAILY e.g. cleaning , cutting grass and trimming trees .
TO PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES & DESIGN MOSAIC AND ROCKERY .
TO SET – UP A WALL OF HOPE .
