Woza continues to protect subscribers

Woza app developer and Emmarentia resident, Paul Nogueira, reports that recently an app user noticed a suspicious vehicle on the side of the road in Linden and activated the app’s panic button. A Cortac vehicle in the area responded. Seconds after the panic was activated, the suspects attempted to steal a cellphone from a community member. The suspects saw the Cortac vehicle approaching and sped off.

Special offer—reduced cost for domestic workers

Meanwhile the offer to reduce the cost of Woza for domestic workers to R35pm stands (even if the only subscription in the household). This would give them armed response at your home AND when they’re anywhere else; a huge safety benefit for these women.

Also, all WOZA households can get a free speed-dial based service for their domestic workers that works on all phones, smart or otherwise. This speed-dial panic button on the cellphone is for incidents at the home only (no GPS location capability on those phones).

Costs for other subscribers:

· R35pm each for 3-6 member households

· R40pm each for 2-member households

· R50pm for single users.
