Shot-hole borer identification and walkabout
August 24 - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Plane trees have been identified as one of the trees that is a host to the shot-hole borer. Some of these trees in the Jhb Botanical Gardens have been found to have the borer. Come and join Emmarentia and Greenside residents as we learn about how to identify the shot-hole borer and then walk down streets where we have plane trees in our suburbs (Muirfield, The Braids, Troon, Greenhill Roads). We will also examine them to see if they do have the borer.
We will be assisted by experts from Johannesburg Urban Forest Alliance and other arbourists. All welcome. The more people we have, the more roads we will be able to cover.
E-mail us on email@example.com if you are interested and send your contact number so that we can contact you nearer the time and tell you where we will meet.
